Irish over Kilbourne

The 8th grade Lady Irish take a win over Kilbourne 2 games to one. Kennedy was 5 for 5 with 2 digs and 1 ace.

The 7th grade girls also won in 2 games.

Irish Roll

The 8th grade Lady Irish move to 4-1 with a win tonight over the Norton Tigers. Winning 2 games to none, Kennedy again played the first game with A squad going 1 for 1 on serves with 2 digs and 2 put backs. Alex had a great run on serves in game one and all played well.

The seventh grade also came home with a win 2 games to 1.

The next game is away at Worthington Kilbourne Middle on Wednesday.

A huge win over Marysville!

The Lady Irish got back to their winning ways tonight at home against a very tough Marysville team. This same Marysville team beat the Irish last year in 7th grade competition. The 8th grade girls beat the Monarchs in three games: 25 – 23; 15-25 and 25-14. It was the best volleyball contest so far this season. The teamwork, speed to the ball, setting and spiking was impressive. Ashlyn had two incredible serving streaks and Elo and Autumn had outstanding net play.

Kennedy earned her way onto the A squad, starting games 1 and 3. She was 3 for 4 serving with 3 spikes and 1 dig. A great game all around!

The 7th grade took their first loss of the season, losing 2 games to 1.

The next game is Monday at SWCS Norton Middle.

Irish Take First Loss

The Lady Irish took their first loss of the season, dropping both games on the road to the Gahanna East Lions 17-25 and 15-25. It was a tough night for the 8th grade ladies who could never really get a rally going.

Kennedy had a good night, playing in both games and landing 7 of 8 serves with 2 aces and 1 spike.

The seventh grade girls continued their winning ways taking 2 of 3 and continuing their undefeated season.

The next game is tomorrow night at home against Marysville.

On Wednesday night the Lady Irish traveled to Delaware Dempsey to take on the Lady Pacers. After a late start due to some transportation issues and the seventh grade needing all three games to win, the eighth grade Irish rolled, shutting out Dempsey two games to none. Kennedy landed 11 of 12 including 4 aces. She also had to spikes for points.

The next game is TUESDAY at Gahanna followed by a home game on Wednesday against Marysville.
